Since the youngest age, I've been a fan of the Premier League, but from now on, I am really open about every top league. I just want to play great games and be happy."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
The French defender was also asked about his footballing heroes and he named a current Chelsea veteran as well as a Real Madrid icon as his favourites, adding: "Definitely, Thiago Silva and Sergio Ramos. They are my two favourites. They are fantastic examples for young players. Their skills, how they play, their intelligence, aggressiveness and everything. Unfortunately, I was injured against Thiago Silva last year against Chelsea. And if you asked about my models, I didn’t have any. But when I was young, my favourite players were Cristiano Ronaldo and Ronaldinho."
